June 21 marks three wonderful occasions – International Day of Yoga, celebrating the harmony of body, mind, and soul; World Motorcycle Day, symbolizing adventure and wellness through riding; and the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and a tribute to nature’s rhythm.
To commemorate this special day, the Chhattisgarh Postal Circle joined hands with the 36 RC Bike Riding Club for a unique two-day awareness ride. The journey began from Kalibari Post Office, under the Raipur Postal Region, heading towards Kudargarh, Surajpur. The bikers carried a powerful message — promoting health, yoga, and environmental sustainability.
On their return, the riders posted two special picture postcards from Odgi Branch Office, addressed to the Chief Postmaster General, Chhattisgarh Circle (492001). These postcards were beautifully cancelled with special pictorial cancellations marking World Motorcycle Day and the Summer Solstice.
This creative initiative by the Chhattisgarh Postal Circle to spread awareness through philately and adventure truly deserves appreciation. I’m delighted to share both carried postcards, now bearing the delivery cancellation of Raipur GPO.

These postcards were issued in very limited numbers (only 200 each) – despite sending an eMO well in advance, I could secure only one set after several follow-ups. A truly special and memorable addition to my picture postcard collection.
