Who Was Sri Madhvacharya?

Sri Madhvacharya (1238–1317 CE) was one of India’s greatest philosophers and spiritual reformers. He:

  • Born in Pajaka near Udupi around 1238 CE, he showed extraordinary intellect and spiritual depth from childhood.
  • At just 16 years old, he renounced worldly life and became a monk under Achyutapreksha.
